Six Sign & Display Print entries win gold in Pride in Print Awards

The Pride In Print Awards were announced at the Cordis Hotel in Auckland last Friday, with Wakefield Digital taking out the Supreme Award, and six entries in the Sign & Display Print categories winning gold medals.

The Sign & Display Print category winners are:

  • Admark Visual Imaging for their entry “Te Huia Train” (Sign & Display Print – Vehicle Graphics)
  • APC Innovate for two entries “OKD Summer Kombi Van Shroud and “Seltzer Half Can Stacker” (Sign & Display Print – Point of Sale Display Stands)
  • Fuji Xerox NZ for their entry “EMEX Show Steampunk Booth Design,” printed by Benefitz (Sign & Display Print – Soft Signage)
  • Permark Industries for their entry “Fisher & Paykel Overlay,” printed by Linda Tomlinson (Sign & Display Print – Functional)
  • Print Central for their entry “Vinyl Underground Wall Wrap” (Sign & Display Print – Outdoor Signage & Billboards)

The Training Awards winners were also announced at the event with Travis Jordan winning Print Apprentice of the Year, Alex Huynh of Soar Print winning Workplace Trainer of the Year, Labelmakers in Hamilton winning Training Company of the Year and  Tracy Reynolds, New Zealand Post, Christchurch winning Student of the Year, Diploma of Print Management

“This year we were able to say ‘The Show Will Go On’ and go on it did,” said Ruth Cobb, CEO PrintNZ. “Congratulations to all our Gold Medal, Process and Category winners, Wakefield Digital for taking out the Supreme Award and Travis Jordan from Soar Print being named Apprentice of the Year.”

“A huge thank you goes to our Patron and Sponsors for their continued support - you all make such a night possible,” added Ruth, giving a huge shout out to B J Ball Papers for continuing to sponsor the Training Awards, encouraging the talent in the industry and ensuring that they get the recognition they deserve.
