Fujifilm BI Australia appoints new MD and appoints new dealers

FUJIFILM BI Australia has announced the appointment of Yasuyuki Matsumoto as the new Managing Director, set to lead the company into its next phase of growth. Additionally, the company has also announced three new Authorised Dealers across Queensland (QLD) and Western Australia (WA).

Matsumoto comes to the role with over 30 years' experience within the Fujifilm Group, having previously served as Chairman and President of FUJIFILM Business Innovation (China), Chairman of FUJIFILM Business Innovation (Hong Kong), and Head of East Asia Operations. Matsumoto was also Managing Director of FUJIFILM Business Innovation (Hong Kong) from 2019 to 2022 and held senior roles in Vietnam, Japan, China, and Singapore.

"I am pleased to be appointed Managing Director of FUJIFILM BI Australia and joining the incredibly talented team to support the growth and evolution of our solutions and services," said Matsumoto, adding, "Growing businesses are placing more importance on building a strong foundation for customers’ digital experiences, as well as supporting their employees and a range of other efficiencies to accelerate their own transformation." He sees the collaboration with their partners as crucial in helping organizations, especially small-to-medium-sized ones, navigate their digital transformation journeys.

The new authorised dealers are Fuji Solutions Group in Queensland, DX Business Innovation in WA, and UTECK operating under the co-direction of Quintin Whitcher, the current owner of SOS Office Equipment in Bunbury, and Damon Rowan, most recently Master Agent for FUJIFILM BI Australia in Perth. Each brings extensive experience and local knowledge to the role, supporting the company in providing digital transformation solutions for their customers.

Stephen Sims, Executive General Manager, Sales and Solutions at FUJIFILM BI Australia, expressed confidence in their new leadership and partnerships. "This is an exciting new chapter for FUJIFILM BI Australia. Under the leadership of Mr Matsumoto and the focus of our global strategy, we're well positioned to continue our leadership in the market while innovating digital transformation solutions for all our customers, partners, and the community," he says.
