Kingman Visual enters Administration

Kingman Visual (Kingman Group Holdings Pty Ltd and Kingman Signs & Graphics Pty Ltd) entered administration on Jan 29th, 2024.

WA-based Kingman Visual was founded by Vernon and Dianne Kingman in 1984 and grew to become one of the most respected signage companies in the industry, with more than 60 employees. Kingman Visual won numerous ASGA awards and completed many iconic projects, including manufacturing and installing over 12,500 signs for Perth’s new Optus Stadium. The company was also responsible for installing the largest sky sign in Australia at a length of 56m and an 8.7m lightbox on the roof of St John of God Murdoch Hospital, Perth.

Vernon and Dianne Kinman sold Kingman Visual in December 2020 to Perth businessmen Norman Asch and Todd Grover.  Since then, the company has diversified, announcing an exclusive partnership with Mitrex, to provide solar cladding solutions to the Australian market. The company also added the supply and installation of EV charging stations to its portfolio of services.

Vernon Kingman told Image Magazine, ‘I was terribly saddened to hear of the appointment of administrators of Kingman Group yesterday. A business I founded in 1984 in my garage that grew into one of Australia’s most respected sign companies. The business was sold in December 2020, and many staff have been there for over 20 years. I hope that the national staff shortages mean they find employment quickly.”

Richard Tucker and John Bumbak from Korda Mentha have been appointed as administrators, with the first meeting of the creditors of the Company scheduled for Feb 8 2024, at 11am. To register, please contact [email protected]
