Currie Group joins Virtual Industry Expo

Currie Group is the latest leading industry supplier to confirm its participation in Australia’s first virtual trade show for print, sign, display and graphics, taking out the largest presence at the online show.

Phillip Rennell, Sales and Marketing Director of Currie Group, says the company is excited to participate in the country’s first-ever virtual show, indicating that they will use their stand to showcase the latest technologies and innovations from their market-leading partners, which include HP Indigo, Scodix, OMET and Horizon.

“The show is well timed as Australia moves past the lockdown stage and into recovery mode. While no-one really knows what the second half of this year is going to look like for businesses, there’s real hope we will be able to start moving towards a more normal business environment as restrictions start to ease,” says Phillip.

“It’s important we keep providing people with the information they need to discern market trends, identify opportunities for their businesses, and consider new investments, so that they’re well-positioned to recover, consolidate and grow their businesses into the future.”

While plans for the Currie Group’s virtual stand are still being finalised, Phillip says he expects it to be centred around product videos and demonstrations – plugging a vital gap in the absence of physical expos like Visual Impact and DRUPA – and education, with expert presentations and downloadable information. The company will also take part in the virtual seminar and workshop series.

Perhaps just as importantly, Phillip says the trade show is an important part of the ‘industry eco-system’, so Currie Group views its participation very much as a statement of its support for the print and graphic communications sector.

“Expos provide a vital opportunity to connect and collaborate with our customers, colleagues and competitors, learn about new options and opportunities, and recognise and celebrate what we do.

“Obviously, it will be a while before we can all get together in one physical location, but in the interim, the Virtual Trade Show will go some way to filling the need for the industry connection and dialogue which physical expos deliver so well. We welcome this innovative initiative from Visual Connections and we’re looking forward to being involved,” he adds.

The Virtual Print, Sign, Display and Graphics Trade Show will run 24 hours a day from June to September on.visualconnections.org.au.

Joining Currie Group with major stands are Epson, HP and Roland, joined by Ball & Doggett, Bőttcher, Ecolease, Eurotech, Fujifilm, Hexis, Mutoh, Screen, Trotec, and other exhibitors including Control Zone, Epson, Europoles, Gravotech, Mimaki, Sign to Badge Solutions and Starleaton.
